Get to Know Me
Thank you for your interest in working with me. I am a licensed LMSW, providing psychotherapy for individuals and running support programs for survivors of domestic violence, gender-based violence, and intimate partner violence. As a queer Jewish-Ukrainian refugee having grown up in Brooklyn, NYC, I bring a unique perspective on identity narratives in America, enriched by my experiences and and a later-in-life ADHD diagnosis.
In my therapeutic practice, I work extensively with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and love to blend evidence-based interventions like CBT, EMDR, MI, and ACT, alongside humor, rapport-building, and a client-centered, humanistic approach. I incorporate somatic frameworks like Mindfulness and Somatic Experiencing. It is important for me to consider a client's own experiences within the varied and intersecting identity structures they may live with, including antisemitism, ableism, racism, fat phobia, poverty and beyond.
My specialties include: the perinatal period, queer individuals, couples and families, relationships (including poly/nm relationships), neurodivergence, sexual wellness, kink, sex positivity, domestic violence and intimate partner violence, immigration, chronic pain/illness, and trauma.
When not working, I'm in nature hiking, foraging or camping, doing tons of professional and personal learning, hanging with my loved ones, seeing art and making (not-so-perfect) art and crafts, photography, engaging with movement (dancing, long walks, bike rides, exercise), traveling, 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy, reading, and/or enjoying slow days.
